The shareholder of SCC Scientific Consulting Company Chemisch-Wissenschaftliche Beratung GmbH (‘SCC’) is selling its shares in the company to Ramboll Holding GmbH (‘Ramboll’).
SCC, headquartered in Bad Kreuznach, has 160 employees and is one of the largest private and independent consulting companies in the field of regulatory affairs and product safety in Europe. The company is active in the fields of agrochemicals, biocides, chemicals and medical devices, among others.
The strategic acquisition strengthens Ramboll's position in the agrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. With the acquisition, Ramboll now has more than 340 experts working in the various health sciences disciplines.
‘By combining Ramboll's global reach and the scientific expertise of our Health Sciences team with SCC's extensive regulatory knowledge, we can best support our clients in complex regulatory processes and in the implementation of their sustainability programmes. This enables us to take a leading role in the market for product safety and regulatory issues,’ says Dr Martina Vosteen, Global Division Director Health Sciences at Ramboll.
In close cooperation with the shareholder and management of SCC, the Taurus Advisory team, consisting of Volker Ruhl, Alexandra Heidemann and Sabrina Sauer, structured and supported the transaction process on the seller side.
"Thanks to its regulatory expertise and international network, SCC has established itself as a market leader in an attractive niche. This acquisition will significantly strengthen Ramboll's Health Sciences division," emphasises Volker Ruhl, Managing Director of Taurus Advisory.
With the sale of the company shares, the shareholder is successfully initiating the next growth phase for the company.
