Taurus Advisory advises Novobit AG on the acquisition of the assets of ASTRO Strobel Kommunikationssysteme GmbH
ASTRO Strobel Kommunikationssysteme GmbH (‘ASTRO’) is selling its assets to Novobit AG (‘Novobit’) as part of standard insolvency proceedings. Taurus acted as exclusive advisor to the buyer throughout the entire transaction process.
ASTRO Strobel Kommunikationssysteme GmbH was founded in 1947 and is a developer and manufacturer of communication technology specialising in television, radio and distribution technology.
This strategic step is an important milestone in Novobit's growth strategy. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company is a manufacturer of fibre optic cables and optical connectors and systems with production facilities in China and Thailand. With the acquisition of ASTRO's assets and their transfer to the newly founded Astro Bit GmbH, the site in Bergisch-Gladbach-Bensberg will focus even more strongly on the future market of optical transmission technology. In addition to the expansion of the product range, the development of new markets is also at the centre of the future growth strategy.
The Taurus Advisory team (Volker Ruhl, Marc Zajonc) advised Novobit on the buyer side throughout the entire transaction process.
