Taurus Advisory exclusively advises Nestlé Germany on the sale of the Conow site to the Sprehe Group
The Nestlé production site in Conow has found a new owner in the Sprehe Group. Taurus Advisory exclusively advised Nestlé Deutschland AG on the sale.
The modern production site in Conow manufactures a wide range of hot-filled, pasteurized, and sterilized foods for Nestlé. The culinary products are produced on site by around 70 employees.
In March 2025, Nestlé announced that it would be relocating the products manufactured in Conow to other European sites.
Under the umbrella of the Sprehe Group, the Conow site can be secured for the long term and the jobs of its employees preserved. “We are very pleased that the sale of our plant in Conow will not only secure the jobs of our dedicated employees, but also strengthen confidence in the future of the site,” said Carsten Hackel, Chief Financial Officer of Nestlé Germany.
The Sprehe Group is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of poultry products, meat and sausage products, and canned goods, with 3,500 employees at 12 locations.
Nestlé products will continue to be manufactured during a transition period. “With the Sprehe Group, we have a highly experienced company at our side that will continue to develop the factory, drawing on the factory team's high level of product and technology expertise,” said Fabrice Johan, Chief Technology Officer at Nestlé Germany.
Working closely with Nestlé's management and M&A team, the Taurus Advisory team (Volker Ruhl, Hubert Stücke, and Marc Zajonc) structured and supported the entire transaction process on the seller side.
"We are proud to have contributed to a global corporation such as Nestlé with our M&A consulting services. The Conow site has modern, automated machinery and a highly qualified workforce. We are delighted that the future in Conow is now secure in the long term and wish the Sprehe Group every success,” said Volker Ruhl, Managing Partner at Taurus Advisory.
